English (Tradition): The word tradition comes from the Latin traditionem, acc. of tradition which means “handing over, passing on”, and is used in a number of ways in the English language: Beliefs or customs taught by one generation to the next, often orally.
Spanish (Patrimonio): Heritage is the set of individual rights and obligations of a person considered as a universal right.
Chinese (遗产): Heritage in the sense of the civic code means the legacy of a passed-away person. Later it came to mean also the historical spiritual and material legacy (cultural heritage etc.).
German (Kulturgut): A cultural asset is the product of artistic production or another human testimony which is recognized to be important and worth preserving.
